V3.3 Interior Lights, Preset Marketplace, Title Blocks

Modumate V3.3 delivers a blend of high-impact features that focus on three major areas you, the community, have emphasized as your main priorities:

1) Beautify Modumate with better graphics, presentation, and documentation tools.

2) Deepen Modumate with time-saving and design-enhancing features.

3) Extend Modumate with import/export of key file formats.

So for the remainder of the year, we're focusing on these categories to hopefully further supercharge your building design practice.

Interior Lights show the quality of your spaces even when the Sun isn't visible.

As a building designer, you know that your structure is only as beautiful as the light being cast on it.

In V3.2, we released Ray-Tracing... well, we've extended its abilities to include interior lights, with editable IES profiles, light strengths, and light hues.

Now you can light your architecture during sunrise, sunset, dusk, night, and in the shadows during the day. Turn the lights on and off with a single click. You may notice that the app might run a little less smoothly, but pair this feature with your Saved 3D views and you'll be able to switch between views instantly.

Preset Marketplace has been migrated to The Cloud (tm), so we can extend your library on the fly!

Modumate has always been about using Presets to save you time. When you have a Wall, you don't need to sculpt every stud, board, and tile inside it - we do it for you.

With the addition of our Preset Marketplace, we can now ship you tons of new Presets, from walls, to windows, to furniture. This is a second layer of time savings: more and more, you won't need to craft your own Preset - we do it for you.

This is a major part of our vision of saving architects time and making design enjoyable again - browsing a catalog of hundreds of walls can get you 80% of your Wall's BIM info in mere seconds, then you can fully customize your new Wall from there.

Your Sheets have title blocks and custom sizes, for more professional printing!

Modumate's Drawing Designer continues to grow out of beta into a full-fledged sheet production environment for you to make some of your most important documents: permit and construction drawings.

With V3.3, you can now change your sheet size to suit your project, and each sheet comes with a Title Block that includes metadata about the Sheet (edited with the Sheet), Project (edited in Project Info), and Firm (edited in Workspace Settings).

It's time to print some beautiful 2D drawings about your beautiful 3D building design!

MacOS graphics are leaps and bounds better.

Building on Unreal Engine is 95% pros, 5% cons... but one of the limitations has been graphical parity between Windows and MacOS, because the two platforms use different graphics pipelines even if they have the same graphics cards.

But we dove under the hood and made adjustments that bring MacOS graphic beauty up to the same level as Windows. Unfortunately, Ray-Tracing is still a Windows-only feature, but MacOS graphics are now much more presentation-ready to wow your clients.

20+ more small improvements continue to polish the edges of our newest features.

When we train customers and work with our seasoned pro users, we listen to every little comment and complaint. Everyone uses 3D software differently, and we're obsessed about pleasing all of you as best we can!
